A Journey Through Safari World

Greetings, fellow globetrotters!

Today, I am thrilled to walk you through my adventurous visit to the renowned Safari World in Bangkok, Thailand. As one of Thailand's largest and most popular open zoo and leisure parks, Safari World guarantees a day of fun, exploration, and thrills that any wildlife and nature lover should not miss!

Opening Hours and Ticket Prices
First things first, let's talk logistics. The park opens its gates to the public at 9:00 AM and closes at 5:00 PM. This gives you ample time to explore the park's two main attractions: the Safari Park and the Marine Park.

As for ticket prices, as of my visit in 2023, the entry fee is 1,200 THB (approximately $36) for adults and 1,000 THB (approximately $30) for children between 2-12 years old. These prices include access to both the Safari and Marine Parks, which I highly recommend for the full experience. However, prices can fluctuate and it's always a good idea to check the official website for the most accurate information.

Safari Park
The journey begins at Safari Park, a picturesque, African-inspired landscape spanning 200 acres. This open zoo, one of the largest in the world, hosts hundreds of animals from all continents. Here, visitors have the opportunity to see zebras, giraffes, lions, tigers, bears, and even rare and endangered species like the white rhinoceros, all from the safety and comfort of their vehicle or one of the park's coaches.

I was mesmerized by the park's realistic portrayal of the animals' natural habitats. The drive-through format of the tour allowed for up-close encounters (from a safe distance!) with these magnificent creatures. Seeing these animals roam freely is a unique experience that deviates from traditional zoos' norms.

Marine Park
After an incredible journey through the Safari Park, next up was the Marine Park. It's a walking park with a variety of animal shows, exhibitions, and activities that will keep you entertained throughout the day.

The Dolphin Show was an absolute crowd-pleaser, where these intelligent creatures showcased their agility and playful nature with flips, jumps, and ball tricks. The Sea Lion Performance was equally charming, featuring these creatures' wit and agility.

The Marine Park is not just about marine animals, though. The Bird Show features a stunning array of colorful birds from around the world, and their intelligence and ability to interact with trainers will surely surprise you. And the park's Hollywood Cowboy Stunt Show will leave you at the edge of your seat, featuring impressive displays of horse riding, lasso tricks, and mock gun fights.

Dining and Shopping
Between shows and exhibits, don't forget to take a break for some refreshments. There are several food outlets scattered throughout the park, serving a variety of cuisines, including local Thai dishes and international fare. The prices are reasonable and the food is enjoyable, making it a perfect break in your exploration.

No visit is complete without some souvenirs to bring back home! The park has multiple souvenir shops where you can buy plush toys, clothing, or even jewelry. It's a great opportunity to pick up some unique reminders of your day at Safari World.

In Conclusion
Safari World, Bangkok, offers a unique blend of education and entertainment that will appeal to all ages. With its diverse wildlife, entertaining shows, and engaging activities, it is certainly a worthwhile destination that should be on your Bangkok itinerary.

The Safari World team has done an excellent job in creating a space where wildlife conservation, education, and entertainment coexist harmoniously. So when you're visiting this fantastic city, be sure to set aside a day for Safari World—you won't regret it!

Until next time, stay adventurous!
