My recent trip to Dubai was nothing short of enchanting, and one of the highlights was, without a doubt, the iconic Dubai Frame. Here, I bring to you a detailed guide about this architectural marvel.
A Little About the Dubai Frame
Dubai Frame, an architectural landmark that paints a picture of Dubai's journey from its humble beginnings to a vibrant metropolis, is situated in the heart of the city in Zabeel Park. Standing tall at a majestic 150m (equivalent to a 50-story building), it holds the record for being the largest picture frame on the planet.
The structure is designed to represent a metaphorical bridge between Dubai's past, present, and future. The city's old quarters are visible from one side of the Frame, showcasing the traditional houses and spice markets, while the other side frames the sprawling skyline, bursting with skyscrapers including the legendary Burj Khalifa.
Timings
The Dubai Frame operates seven days a week. From Sunday to Wednesday, the timings are 9:00 AM to 9:00 PM, while from Thursday to Saturday, it extends until 10:00 PM. The last entry is usually 45 minutes before closing time. It's best to visit early morning or late evening when it's cooler, and the sun casts a stunning hue on the cityscape.

As of my visit in May 2023, the general admission ticket for adults is AED 50 (about $13.6) and for children (aged 3 to 12), it's AED 20 (around $5.5). Children under three, elderly (above 60), and people of determination enjoy free entry.

Next, you board the elevator to the Sky Deck level, home to the 'Present' gallery. Here, you get a 360-degree view of both the old and new Dubai through the clear glass bridge. For the thrill-seekers, a section of the glass floor turns transparent as you walk over it, revealing the city beneath your feet!
The Future Gallery is your last stop, which presents a vision of Dubai 50 years from now in the form of a virtual reality experience. It's a unique exhibit that draws you into a seemingly real yet futuristic world.

An exciting feature about the Dubai Frame is its array of shows. Every day, they host performances that are a fusion of art, culture, and technology, providing a unique perspective on Dubai's story. My personal favorite was the light and sound show, an immersive experience that left me spellbound.
